Today was Father's Day in Australia. And here's a little gift idea for next year: a flight over the Giza Pyramids in a biplane.
Here a replica World War One Vickers Vimy bomber circles the Great Pyramids of Giza in 1994.
This was a 75th anniversary flight to recreate the London to Australia Great Air Race of 1919. The Australian Prime Minister had offered a £10,000 prize for the first Australians to fly from Great Britain to Australia within 30 days.
The race was won by South Australian brothers Ross & Keith Smith in a Vickers Vimy who did it in 27 days. They were both knighted by the Queen for their achievement.
By the way, I loved breakfast in bed, my new socks and having the lawn mowed. I'm a lucky dad.
